Installation Procedure for Dubai Decor Flex Panels
Preparation of the Wall
- The wall can be either smoothed or painted; in both cases, the surface must be strong and even. A uniform surface ensures proper adhesion of the product, while a strong surface can withstand the tension that occurs during the drying of the adhesive.
- Optionally, a deep primer can be used to provide a strong bonding surface for the panels.
- The properly prepared surface must be completely dry and free from moisture! It should not be applied to freshly smoothed, painted, or primed surfaces. It is very important that the surface is dry and at a consistent temperature!
Preparation of the Product
- The product should be dusted off after removing it from the box (dust may have accumulated during manufacturing).
- The panels must be acclimatized before installation: a temperature of around 22 °C is ideal for acclimatization!
Necessary Tools
- Jigsaw
- Masking tape
- Ladder
- Measuring tape
- Structural adhesive for wall panels
Installation on a Flat Surface
- Cut the panels to size using a jigsaw. Tip: Use a high-quality machine and saw blade for a perfect finish!
- Apply the adhesive to the back of the wall panel and to the wall. Tip: The adhesive can be applied in small ball shapes on the surfaces.
- Position the wall panel onto the desired surface from bottom to top, gently pressing it onto the surface. Note: Two people are needed for the installation!
- For joints, use connecting elements to seal the ends properly.
Installation on a Curved Surface
The panels can also be installed on curved surfaces or at corners, and special connecting elements are available for this purpose. For installation advice on curved setups, please contact us!
